YogaOasis' 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
with DARREN RHODES & SAM RICE and Kanoe Gantz, Gianna Purcell, and Mackie Osborne
Join Darren Rhodes and Sam Rice, along with special guest instructors Kanoe Gantz, Gianna Purcell, and Mackie Osborne for the YogaOasis 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
We will explore and practice the many facets of yoga, to inform and support your efforts to effectively teach asana. We seek to offer a teacher training experience that honors where yoga comes from, while also supporting a safer container for learning, sharing, and growth.
The aim of this training is twofold:
1. Personal practice:
Evolve your relationship to yoga, by an in-depth study of the classic forms and biomechanics of asana (poses), meditation, and pranayama (breathing) practices. Delve into a comprehensive exploration of the more esoteric aspects of yoga philosophy, history of yoga, anatomy and so much more.
Not interested in teaching yoga? This program also functions as a stellar resource for personal development.
2. Teaching asana:
Learn to skillfully instruct a wide variety of class levels with an alignment-driven focus, which includes designing skillful sequences for each. Ascertain how to succinctly articulate the essential cues for a plethora of poses to help mitigate risk, maximize reward, and offer access to the essence of the practice. Explore ways to make your classes more inclusive.
Completion of this program allows graduates to register with Yoga Alliance® as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200-hour level.
Other topics included in this program: Somatics + experiential anatomy with Mackie Osborne; Flow + functional anatomy with Kanoe Gantz; a deep dive into yoga and philosophy with Gianna Purcell.

Mackie Osborne, E-RYT 500, YACEP: Hi, my name is Mackie. I love dogs, yoga, food, and art and I love to study. I’m a somanaut, a dedicated and persistent explorer of the mystery and magic of human embodiment. The path of yoga, from the physical practice to the philosophical context that informs the practice is my passion. I believe yoga is more than just an exercise, it’s a profound spiritual exploration and a design for living. My classes emphasize alignment and breath-based movement and are designed to build strength as well as flexibility. I strive to make my classes fun, challenging, practical, and accessible to anyone looking to create transformation in their lives, whether their desire is to open their hearts or their hamstrings. I believe that the end result of either intention brings us closer to achieving both.
