Maha Hatha Training
The Maha Hatha course, developed by Gianna, is a system focused on traditional Hatha techniques meant to bring the body and mind into a sense of wholeness. Consisting of asana, pranayama, mudra, kriya, and bandha, the class moves students purposefully through varied movements to increase mobility and understanding in order to build the proper body mechanics to land in the positions naturally rather than make them happen. Offering 200 and 300-hour modulated courses, students receive a yoga alliance and or OHYA certification.
Maha Hatha Slow:
A common struggle for the western yogi is stillness. A common rejection in relation to the self and others is emotional. Using these for confrontational battles, the Slow class addresses specific emotions per class to release build-up and congestion from the subtle body lines in order to allow for more feeling and expression in time. Combing Chinese meridian theory, modern psychology, Hatha asana, tantric kriya, and Thai massage theory, this class can be subtle yet intense and transformative in experiencing, expressing, and regulating your emotions.
Maha Hatha Hips, Splits, Backbends, Forward Bends, Twists, Inversions, and Strength:
The maha hatha full class is a comprehensive process taking people through kriya, pranayama, and meditation classes while exploring deep and challenging asanas meant to print practitioners into a new line of sight and excitement. You will often see the Maha classes divided into these different categories. This allows the focus of the class to explore and workshop deeper movements towards the end of each session to find a greater understanding of the focus to apply to a wide variety of positions in that category.
84 Advanced
The classical 84 advanced yoga asanas from the Ghosh lineage are more advanced poses attempted in a specific sequence with little warm-up but lots of fun. The series is usually considered to be the advanced poses associated with Brrkams hot yoga series and done in a hot room. Yoga asana, though, can always be done outside the heat as long as it is practiced with care and awareness. This is a class for advanced practitioners primarily.
Maha Hatha Flow:
With the commotion of life being under your roof, home practice can often be challenging. Meant for the home yoga practitioner, this class meets the energy of life: moving, exciting, and wild, to complement but also balance the wild of home. The Maha Flow sequences use the ancient Hatha techniques and the enlivening movements of vinyasa to raise the body's energy, vitality, and enthusiasm for practice.
Ashtanga Yoga:
A system developed by the student of Krishnamacharya, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, in the 20th century put together the Ashtanga Yoga practice. Using a deep-heating breath linked to rhythmic movements, the ashtanga yoga practice is known for its challenging and disciplined tradition and transformative and expansive qualities.
26&2
Traditionally practiced in a hot room with humidity, the Bikram practice, also known as the 26&2 Original Hot Yoga Series, can be practiced in any environment. With the Siddhi School, you will find 60, 75, and 90-minute classes incorporating different warm-up techniques and methods of practice in order to safely experience your favorite healing series.
Pranayama and Meditation
Working through different breathing techniques and awareness practices, the pranayama, and meditation class is meant for every leveled practitioner or meditator.
Yoga Hour
All of our teachers are well-rounded and deeply inspired humans who seek and receive inspiration daily. A yoga hour is a place where their inspiration gets put into action. This hour session is where teachers get out their inspirations and express where their wild imaginations have gone. A different class each time, these sessions are meant to excite both student and teacher and leave a space for inquiry.
Mortality Education
This is a self-development course for those interested in confronting their own mortality and healing their fear of death. It is a 3-month process with face-to-face sessions with Gianna. These are ‘death doula’ practices meant to help those who are looking to live better no matter what phase of life they are in.
